Lipstick: I used the shade 6 Don’t stop the nude. I apply one coat to my lashes since more than that isn’t necessary. It isn’t very clumping nor very spidery which I like. Mascara: The False Lashes Mascara is fantastic! It lengthens my lashes up to the heavens (literally). I personally use the thin side to lightly line the top of my lash line, just to give the appearance or thicker lashes. It gives a gorgeous flush of colour, and retailing at R54, it’s worth every cent. It’s a pretty, berry-toned pink shade that suits my complexion so beautifully. Matt Blush: I’ve been a fan of this blush since the day I first tried it. It isn’t chalky or muddy, and the pigmentation is great too. The colour is warm toned which is great for bronzing up the face (not so great for sontouring). I would recommend trying out the liquid concealer. It also highlighted my fine lines and creases which was a let down. It was really thick and even though it blended out easily, it just felt too heavy. My problem with this foundation is that it did make my pores show through, especially around my nose area. The colour selection is good and you get a decent amount of product. I find that this really helps with keeping my makeup oil-free and I was really impressed at how little greasiness I had on my forehead and T-Zone area. It applies beautifully, and leaves the skin feeling tacky (this is great for getting foundation to stick to the primer) and dry (this will help keep the oiliness at bay). I was able to create a full face of makeup using products that all costed less than R100, which is great for babes on a budget. Oddly this is more of a silver based taupe than plum but it is beautiful none the less.Since I own so many products by Essence, I thought it would be fun to create a one brand makeup tutorial using products from Essence makeup.
